Kelly earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta before beginning a ten year career in professional sales. Following this, she decided to embark on her law degree, earning her J.D. from Thompson Rivers University in 2018.
While in law school she founded the student Animal Law club and campaigned to have an animal law class added to the curriculum as animal law and advocacy is an area she is very passionate about. She was called to the bar in 2019 and now practices in the Okanagan and surrounding areas, primarily in criminal defense.
Kelly lives in Kelowna with her family which includes three rescue dogs – Mommy, Panda and Harry.
